A Taste of Pura Vida in Costa Rica

Saw a flight deal. Booked a flight. Listened to some Duolingo podcasts to brush up on my Spanish. Landed in the land of slow and easy Pura Vida. Worked remotely. Ate some rice and beans. Learned how to surf. Did some hikes. Experienced a new life.

Cities visited: Tamarindo, Monteverde, La Fortuna
Dates: Feb. 19 – Mar. 3

Tamarindo

Key words: touristy, beachy, chill, retirement, california

Tamarindo had a slow, spring break feel. Everyone we encountered was exceptionally nice and helpful. Our Airbnb host, Kurt, gave us surf lessons at an amazing rate ($30/2hrs, all equipment included).

Monteverde / Santa Elena

La Fortuna / Arenal
